Vitamin B12

Did you know Vitamin B12 is the one vitamin not found in any fruits and vegetables, only in animal products. Yet it’s essential in the metabolism of all cells, especially those of the gastrointestinal tract, bone marrow and nervous tissue (numbness, tingling and burning sensation in the feet and weakness in the legs for instance). And did you know that smoking of cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco depletes B12 as tobacco contains cyanide and B12 is used by the body to detoxify it. Smoking vegans shall pay special attention.
